Presidents Message.

I wish to extend a heartfelt thank you for the support I have received from members in being elected to the position of President of the Greater Dufferin Chamber of Commerce. I truly appreciate the friendships I have made while involved in committees and on the Board of Directors. I want to also thank Ron Munro, our Past President, for paving the way over the last two years when I served as his Vice President.  I look forward to working with our Executive Committee and our Board of Directors as we deal with the opportunities that arise.

As members I would encourage you to get involved on a committee and or attend an upcoming  function. It is a great way to make new friends and business aquaintences. Make the networking available through the Chamber work for you and help you grow your business.  The networking is all about people and people are all about networking. Exposure of your company through the Chamber and its networking is the best way to advertise and grow your business. In fact, a recent study showed 63% of business people will do business with someone they know because of recognition of a Chamber of Commerce affiliation.

It doesn’t matter the size of your business, whether it be one or two employees or a multinational company, there are benefits that can work for  you by being a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Being a member of the Greater Dufferin Area Chamber of Commerce will enable you to increase your company profile to over 500 members and to the Dufferin community at large, access exclusive advertising opportunities, benefits and discounts plans and packages all designed to save the member money and grow your business.  I would encourage non members to talk to the Chamber office today and find out why “Membership has its Privileges”
